Baseline Plus Heart Imaging

Plus Heart Check-Up Package $628

Everything in the Basic baseline — a comprehensive blood panel, a resting ECG, and a treadmill stress test — with a transthoracic echocardiogram added on. The echocardiogram is an ultrasound scan that shows how your heart muscle and valves are working, so you see how your heart performs and how it is built, all in a single visit.

4 Tests All Included
One Visit About 90 Minutes
Results in 7 Days Reviewed by Doctor

The Plus Heart Check-Up Package is for anyone who wants more than a baseline — a clearer picture of their cardiovascular health from the molecular level (blood biomarkers), through how the heart performs under exertion (treadmill stress test), to how it is structured and pumping (transthoracic echocardiogram).

Every test is interpreted together by a heart specialist, so you leave with not just numbers and images but a clear understanding of your heart health and what, if anything, to do next.

The Foundation

Comprehensive Blood Panel

The Plus Heart Check-Up Package includes the same rigorous 13-biomarker blood panel as our higher tiers, testing beyond standard metrics to uncover hidden cardiovascular risks.

Cardiovascular Risk

The Heart

  • Lipid panel — total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides
  • ApoB — a more accurate measure of atherogenic particles than LDL alone
  • hsCRP — high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, a marker of vascular inflammation
  • Lp(a) — a genetically determined risk factor for early heart disease (tested once)

Metabolic Health

Energy & Processing

  • Fasting glucose — screens for diabetes and pre-diabetes
  • HbA1c — 3-month average blood sugar control
  • Fasting insulin / HOMA-IR — detects early insulin resistance before diabetes develops

Organ & System Function

The Support Network

  • Full blood count (FBC) — anaemia, infection, blood disorders
  • Liver function — ALT, AST, bilirubin, albumin
  • Kidney function — creatinine, eGFR, urea
  • Thyroid function — TSH (thyroid disorders affect heart rate)
  • Calcium phosphate — bone and metabolic health
  • Uric acid — gout and cardiovascular risk marker
Beyond the Baseline

Cardiac Diagnostics

The Plus Heart Check-Up Package pairs your blood work with three heart tests — your heart at rest, under exertion, and a structural ultrasound of the heart itself.

Durations listed for each test are estimates for the procedure itself and do not include registration, preparation, or recovery time. We aim to keep your visit efficient while ensuring each test is performed safely and thoroughly — actual times may vary with individual circumstances.

Resting ECG

A quick, painless recording of your heart’s electrical activity at rest. Detects irregular rhythms, signs of a previous heart attack, chamber enlargement, and other structural changes.

Duration
5 minutes
Pain level
None

Treadmill Stress Test

Monitors your ECG, heart rate, and blood pressure while you walk on a treadmill at gradually increasing speed and incline. Reveals exercise-induced changes — such as reduced blood flow (ischaemia) or arrhythmias — that may not appear at rest.

Duration
15–20 minutes
Radiation
None

Transthoracic Echocardiogram

A real-time ultrasound that provides a moving, structural picture of your heart. Assesses heart valve function, pumping strength (ejection fraction), wall motion, chamber sizes, and the pericardium. At our clinic the scan is performed by our female healthcare professionals.

Duration
20–30 minutes
Radiation
None (ultrasound)

Is This Package Right for You?

Who Should Consider the Plus Heart Check-Up Package?

Consider this package if

  • You would like to see how your heart muscle and valves are working, with an added ultrasound scan
  • Something mild has come up — slightly high cholesterol or blood pressure, or heart trouble in the family
  • You need an echocardiogram for pre-enlistment (pre-NS) or sports clearance

Common patient profile: Age 30 and above — or younger if a pre-NS or sports screen calls for an echocardiogram. Mild or a single risk factor.

Important to note

  • The treadmill stress test requires you to be able to walk on a treadmill
  • It may not suit those with significant mobility, joint, or balance limitations
  • If you are 40 or over or have several risk factors, a package with a calcium score or CT coronary angiogram may suit you better
  • Your doctor will review your history and advise if any test adjustments are needed

Before Your Visit

How to Prepare for the Plus Heart Check-Up Package

Fast for 8–10 Hours

Required for accurate blood test results. Water is fine. Avoid food, coffee, and sugary drinks from the night before.

Wear Comfortable Clothing & Walking Shoes

You will walk on a treadmill for the stress test, so bring or wear suitable footwear and loose-fitting, comfortable clothes.

Bring Your Medication List

A complete list of current medications and supplements helps the doctor interpret your results, as some medicines can affect your heart rate during the stress test.

Avoid Caffeine on Screening Day

Caffeine can affect your heart rate and blood pressure readings. Skip your morning coffee or tea on the day of the screening.

Allow About 90 Minutes

All tests are completed in a single visit. Plan your schedule accordingly — you will not need to return.

Let Us Know About Mobility Concerns

The stress test involves walking on a treadmill. Tell us in advance if you have any joint, balance, or mobility limitations so we can advise on suitable alternatives.

Common Questions

Plus Heart Check-Up Package FAQ

What is included in the Plus Heart Check-Up Package?

The Plus Heart Check-Up Package ($628 NETT, inclusive of 9% GST) includes a consultation with Dr Paul Lim, comprehensive blood tests (lipid panel, ApoB, hsCRP, Lp(a), fasting glucose, HbA1c, fasting insulin/HOMA-IR, FBC, liver function, kidney function, thyroid, calcium phosphate, uric acid), a resting ECG, a treadmill stress test, a transthoracic echocardiogram, and a post-screening review with Dr Paul Lim to discuss results.

How is the Plus package different from the Basic package?

The Plus Heart Check-Up Package includes everything in the Basic package — the same 13-biomarker blood panel, resting ECG, and treadmill stress test — and adds a transthoracic echocardiogram, an ultrasound scan that shows how your heart muscle and valves are working. The Plus package is $628, compared with $368 for the Basic package.

Where is the Plus Heart Check-Up Package available?

The Plus Heart Check-Up Package is available at both our Orchard (Camden) and Jurong clinics, as the echocardiogram is an ultrasound scan and the package does not require CT imaging. If you would like to add cardiac imaging such as a calcium score or CT coronary angiogram, those tests are performed at the ATA Medical suite at our Orchard clinic.

How long does the Plus Heart Check-Up Package take?

The Plus Heart Check-Up Package is completed in a single clinic visit of approximately 90 minutes, covering the blood draw, resting ECG, treadmill stress test, and transthoracic echocardiogram. Results are reviewed with your doctor within 7 working days.

What is a transthoracic echocardiogram?

A transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE) is a painless ultrasound scan that produces moving images of your heart. It shows how well your heart muscle is pumping (ejection fraction), how your heart valves are working, the size of the heart chambers, and the pericardium. The scan uses no radiation and takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes. At our clinic the scan is performed by our female healthcare professionals.

What is a treadmill stress test?

A treadmill stress test (also called an exercise ECG) monitors your heart’s electrical activity, heart rate, and blood pressure while you walk on a treadmill at gradually increasing speed and incline. It can reveal exercise-induced changes — such as reduced blood flow (ischaemia) or arrhythmias — that may not be visible on a resting ECG. The test takes approximately 15–20 minutes of monitored exercise.

Can I add more tests to the Plus Heart Check-Up Package?

Yes. You can add individual tests a la carte — including a carotid intima-media thickness ultrasound (CIMT), a 24-hour Holter monitor, a coronary calcium score, or a CT coronary angiogram. Tests that involve CT imaging are performed at our Orchard clinic. Alternatively, our Advanced, Comprehensive, and Full packages bundle these imaging tests at a lower combined price.

How should I prepare for the Plus Heart Check-Up Package?

Fast for 8–10 hours before your appointment (water is fine). Wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes for the treadmill stress test. Bring a list of your current medications and any previous medical reports. Avoid caffeine on the morning of your screening. Allow approximately 90 minutes for the visit.
